Wedding's Over, What to Do with Your Gown?

Your big day has come and gone, the honeymoon is over, and it's time to start your new married life together! It's now time to send out those than-you letters, find a place for all of those nice wedding presents and settle in. Have you had a chance to think about what you are going to do with that wedding gown yet? If not let me give you some suggestions. All women know that your wedding gown has a tremendous sentimental value to you. He are are some ideas that will increase the special meaning of it by creating family traditions. You can use the fabric or material to create a baby blanket for your first child, years later they will be able to bring home their first child wrapped in it, so on and so on. Or you can make a Christening outfit for you child. Once again, your child will be able to use it for the Christenings of their child and so on. Both ideas are wonderful ways to create traditions and pride for your family in years to come. If your taste tends to sway to the traditional, you can also preserve your gown and save if for your daughter to wear on her wedding day. She will be able to have the material reworked for a more contemporary style. Finally, there is the option of donating your gown. There is a wonderful organization Brides against Breast Cancer, they organize a gown sale. To find out more go to http://makingmemories.org/. No matter what you decide you can't go wrong, your memories will be with you forever!
